How to verify Bitcoin Core and Updates

I’m new to Raspberry Pi’s and have a learning curve ahead of me but I thought I’d ask this to someone who’s done this before:

How do I verify the Bitcoin Core I download is legitimate for the Umbrel OS and how to I ensure that I am updating my node properly over time?

These are some resources I found but they referenced Mac, Windows, and Linux OS and I’m not sure at the moment how this translates to the Umbrel OS.

I’m probably misunderstanding a key piece of information but I’m learning. Thank you in advance.

I just want to second this. How cool would it be if a user was able to build / or verify the version of bitcoin core they wanted to run and it would integrate with umbrel.
