I need help with the install script. Specifially nginx

Ive searched around a bit and haven’t found anything useful.

Hey @Username1!
Could you try to stop Umbrel via the Stopping script?
sudo ~/umbrel/scripts/stop
then provide the output of the docker ps command:
docker ps
and try to start Umbrel again using the Starting script.
sudo ~/umbrel/scripts/start

If it didn’t work it may be worth having a look at the debug script output:
sudo ~/umbrel/scripts/debug

Keep us posted :v:

Thank you for responding. I followed the instructions you gave me and this is what I got

Debug did not automatically detect any issues with Umbrel.

When I do ‘docker ps’ without sudo, I get permission denied.

Alright! The stopping script shutdown everything normally, I don’t see any container left running after it,
So something is messing with ngninx at the startup, could you provide the full debug logs? (even if it says that there are no issues detected)
sudo ~/umbrel/scripts/debug

I couldn’t send the debug logs through a txt file. So I apologize for the pile of text.

Good News!

I found out what the issue was!

For me the application apache2 was taking up port 80. I just needed to modify which port apache2 takes. I hope this helps someone out in the future!

Thanks for the insight. How did you modify Apache2 port? And which port would you recommend to use instead of 80? I tried to google a solution and could not confirm that apach2 was even running on my machine. Thx
