If I don’t want my isp to know I am running a node through tor can I just not get an internet vpn so my entire network has an exit through it ?
You would need to set up the VPN on your router for it to have network-wide coverage. Otherwise, install the VPN directly on the device that you are using for the node.
Waking up a dead thread but I to was wondering if I setup a vpn on my umbrel node with a kill switch as i typically do with my separate rpi would the docker containers honor the vpn and kill switch or would the vpn mess with the networking of the docker containers?
i hate to “test” it after I have everything running the way I want without confirmation.
So vpn not in container on a RPi full node running docker as normal with umbrel.
I also dont know how tor would get along with it because of iptables and such. I dont know what the team has done.
