When I try to launch the RPC Terminal or RPC Browser, I get this error, “RPC Terminal / Browser require authentication. Set an authentication password via the ‘BTCEXP_BASIC_AUTH_PASSWORD’ environment variable (see .env-sample file for more info).” Anyone else experience this same error? Thanks for any help.

Hey, this behaviour is expected. On your local network can access BTC RPC Explorer without password and if the RPC Terminal was enabled, would be able to send any command to your node.
